My 10 Most Favorite Cars of ‘09

There are a lot of great cars being produced these days and the year 2009 saw its fair share of them. Some of the cars that are going to appear on my list of favourite cars will be models that have been in production for awhile but most of them will be cars that are new this year. The list will also cover a wide range of vehicles. It would be easy to compile a list that is full of super cars like Lamborghini's and Ferrari's, but that wouldn't benefit too many people.

For the most part the cars that appear on this list come from the manufacturers that you would expect them to come from. Companies like BMW and Mercedes have been producing outstanding cars for years. On the other hand a company like KIA is fairly new to the game and doesn't often make it on to these kinds of lists. The others are companies that have fairly good reputations but maybe aren't thought of as top of the line manufacturers like Audi or Volvo. Regardless of what type of car you are interested in you will likely find at least one of them on this list.

There is really no set criteria for ranking the cars, after all how do you compare a Lamborghini and a KIA there really isn't any comparison. For the most part this list is just my personal opinion and therefore is completely subjective. However I think that most people would agree with me about the quality of the cars that appear here. Obviously you can have your own opinion but this is the list of cars that I believe is the best.

The list starts off with two cars that are almost always ranked near the top when it comes to quality. That would be the BMW and the Mercedes. These two have long reputations of producing some of the finest high performance luxury cars on the market. Jaguar also has a reputation for luxury cars but they have been more hit and miss in their quality. However this time they have got the quality right. Then there is the Lamborghini, one of the world's great super cars and on most people's list of cars that they would love to own. Of course the price will rule this out for most people but that doesn't change the fact that their cars are outstanding.

Also on the list are a few new entries like Audi. While they have always had a reputation for building cars that were of good quality they never really had a car that stood out. That all changed with the R8. This is a car that can rival the top of the line sports cars from any company, like the Corvette ZR1 which is also on the list. Others like Mazda and Volvo have long histories of building quality cars at affordable prices and have a well deserved spot on the list.
